"everything you can imagine is real.”
at the heart of my work is the attempt to translate reality as transitory as light and shadow onto paper. the drawings I create invite everyone to look at reality as a complex environment, and in doing so to question whether what we see is made of light or shadow.
well, there is something very reassuring about spending some time observing life and then sketching something on a white sheet of paper. small pleasures that speak of inspiration and the beauty of creation.
my hopes through my art are to appreciate everyday situations transformed into emotional perspectives of a new reality not seen in the “real world”. my drawings incorporate emotional, social, cultural, and political thematic elements as an extension of my visual illusion and interpretation.
